They do not really need us. We need them. We need them to bring us peace.
to our world. We need them to bring beauty to our world. We need them to bring a sense of order to our world.
So we feed them. We feed them food. We provide water. We give them homes and habitat to create life and raise their young. And we watch. And we marvel. And we lose some of the stress that our lives have created. It may be for a few minutes or it may be for a few hours. But we marvel at the colors. We marvel at the variety. We marvel at the antics- especially the squirrels.
As we marvel, we become keenly aware of all things natural in our yards; our neighborhood; our world.
That is why we feed!
